SPORTS MASSAGE This deep tissue massage focuses on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements, concentrating on full muscle release. Sports massage promotes flexibility by targeting muscle/tendon junctions, improving range of motion. MYOFASCIAL RELEASE The body is intricately connected by a webbing of connective tissue called fascia. When over-worked or injured, the fascia experiences “contracture”, tightening and losing its much needed fluid. This causes rigidity and decreased range of motion throughout the body and stress on opposing muscles. Through sustained pressure of hands on contact, you and your therapist will begin to release restrictions in the fascia and unwind old injuries, restoring range of motion, eliminating pain and creating balance throughout the body as a whole. Great for all who are seeking a deeper healing. Call Alyssa or Brittany for a Myofascial Release appointment. 75 min. $105 / Non-members add $15

SHIATSU Shiatsu, whose name is the Japanese word for “finger pressure”, is healing massage that uses acupressure techniques to balance energy flow, increase healthy functioning of the body’s vital organs, and relax and rejuvenate muscle tissue. The client remains full clothed, and the practitioner applies pressure with hands, thumbs, elbows, and knees along the body’s meridien lines, or energy channels. Acupuncture is appropriate for virtually any patient, young and old.
