How do sign up for the free group training trial package?

Through the sign-up platform, Wellness Living. Gold's Gym has teamed up with Wellness Living to create a sign-up process that makes it EASY for Gold's Gym members to view all Battle Rope ST (and Alloy in Newburgh) training packages and book your sessions (including free trial package). Please note that Alloy is offered in Newburgh only. Battle Rope ST is offered in both clubs.

Advance Sign Up Required

Sign-ups for any Battle Rope ST (or Alloy) session shown on the schedule are required in advance. If nobody is signed up for a training session at least 4 hours in advance of the scheduled time, the trainer may not be available.

Is Battle Rope ST suitable for my fitness level?

Whether you’re an Ironman competitor or haven’t broken a sweat in years, Battle Rope ST workouts provide suitable exercise options for every fitness level. However, participants should be injury-free. The Battle Rope ST intro session is required for first-timers to learn proper rope technique and common exercises used during the workouts. If you attempt to jump into a Battle Rope ST training session without first doing the intro class, you will likely feel lost.

How much does it cost?

Package prices vary, but less than half the cost of personal training. Think personal training, but with the energy and camaraderie of being in a small group (max of 8 people) with your own rope system, plenty of space, and awesome coaching. If you're new, we encourage you to do the free group training trial package before making a purchase (includes 3 Alloy & 2 Battle Rope ST sessions). Ongoing training rates vary depending on the plan you purchase. The best value package at Gold's Gym Newburgh is $139/month, which provides unlimited Alloy classes AND up to 2 Battle Rope ST sessions per week!

Alloy Group Training is offered at Gold's Gym Newburgh only. It's a great complement to ANY Battle Rope ST plan. Meet the Battle Rope ST Director:

Jose

Jose Matos is the inventor and creator of the Battle Rope ST product and training system. It's an honor and privilege to have him as our Regional Director and master trainer for the program. Jose is an Orange County resident and 2-time cancer survivor who invented and patented this unique weighted battle rope system several years ago before teaming with worldwide fitness vendor, The Abs Company, for manufacturing and distribution of his product around the globe. Now found in hundreds of fitness facilities across 25 countries, we're excited to introduce the Battle Rope ST small group personal training system to Gold's Gym Newburgh & Gold's Gym Middletown.

He is a highly certified fitness professional who is driven and passionate about bringing out the very best in people. In addition to being NASM certified as a trainer, he has additional certifications in “Performance Enhancement” as well as a “Behavioral Change Specialist”. As a trainer, he found himself training the majority of his clients with a battle rope and a suspension trainer. The effectiveness of these two methods inspired him to combine them into one compact space saving system, giving rise to Battle Rope ST!

Being super passionate about the human body and fitness, he became a champion bodybuilder in 2007 winning the New York State NPC Dutchess County Classic. As a behavior change specialist, his positive energy is a pleasure to be around and his coaching of clients and trainers is exemplary.
